Many people ask me if I offer training in which to obtain a CCW permit. The answer is yes, no and no.

Yes I offer training for you to pass the range skills test using each firearm you are going to list on your CCW permit. The range skills test evaluates your proficiency in drawing from a holster, reloading the firearm safely, how safely you handle a loaded firearm, your accuracy at three different distances and finally safely unloading and re-holstering at the conclusion of the live firing. This is the same process for each firearm you intend on having on your CCW.

No I cannot sign you off as passing the range skills test. You will be required to either take the range skills test at the Ben Clark Training Center Sheriff Office Range (my recommendation) or one of the other chosen ranges that Stan Sniff has approved that can sigh you off as passing the range skills test. Unfortunately, I am not one of his chosen few. If you decide to take your range skills test at the Riverside County Sheriff Office Range, I am well acquainted with their procedures and I train accordingly.

No I am not authorized to conduct the classroom training that is required as part of your mandatory training to receive a CCW. I have always taken my classroom training through the Riverside County Sheriff Office at the Ben Clark Training Center. I figure that they are the issuing agency and therefore, they should know best what is required to be covered.

The range skills test training is offered at my normal hourly rate of $40 an hour. If you wish help on the paperwork, which includes my typing all of your Portable Document Format (PDF) forms on my computer for a flat fee of $100.

We are very fortunate to have a Sheriff for the County of Riverside that is pro-Second Amendment. Riverside Police Chief Sergio Diaz is not pro-Second Amendment and he does not issue CCW’s except for his hand selected minions. Therefore, if you are wanting a CCW and live in the County of Riverside I would advised you to go directly to the Riverside County Sheriff website and proceed from there. The Riverside County Sheriff has the authority to issue CCW’s for all Riverside County residents and he has told me that he approves 95% of all applications. Remember, you cannot get approved unless you apply.

Follow the links I have listed here… Once you are at the Riverside County Sheriff website, click on the heading at the top of the page titled “firearms.” This will take you to a new page where you will see a listing on the right column titled “Firearms in Riverside County.” There are three listings and each one is important. Click on each one and read what is being conveyed so that you understand before moving to the next. The headings are About Firearms in the County, Concealed Weapon (CCW) Permits, and Illegal Discharge of a Firearm.

Your primary interest will be under the obvious heading Concealed Weapon (CCW) Permits where you will be given all the information concerning the process of obtaining your CCW through the Sheriff of Riverside County. This can be very confusing and sometimes intimidating. Therefore, if you discover that you would like my assistance I can help as outlined above. My help comes with no guarantees what’s-so-ever as to you being approved for a CCW. What my assistance does is make the filing process smoother for you. Simply call me at 951-235-8093 if you would like assistance or you can email me MrMichaelsFirearms@gmail.com or use the contact form on this website.

I look forward to assisting you if you should want my help. However, should you decide not to use my services, I wish you the best as you pursue your Second Amendment right to carry concealed.
